Title: Two Bushes Under the Rain

A/N: Originally posted to The Sugar Quill and beta'd by texasmagic, jaswanson, and Ada Kensington. First in a planned but still unfinished series called Weasleys Walking, and IIRC, this was my second-ever complete fic? There's doubtless a ton of Americanisms and trouble-spots in here - would be delighted if anyone wanted to point them out :)
Summary: It’s summertime, and Ron is home from Hogwarts at last! Ginny, the last of the Weasley children, has been waiting for this all year – but things have changed since she waved goodbye on Platform 9¾. Now, Ron has an entire year of memories that don’t involve her and best friends she’s never met. How will she fit into his new life?


( Late afternoon sunlight streamed through the skylights over the tracks inside King’s Cross Station. The platform was mostly deserted, due in part to the placard posted at the entrance that notified travellers of delayed arrivals on tracks nine and ten. A few people had ignored the sign and stood in small groups along the length of the platform. Three-quarters of the way to the end, two redheads sat cross-legged on the floor, backs against a concrete pillar. The smaller of the two, a little girl about eleven years old, was rolling a large clear globe back and forth as she stared across the tracks. )
